Getting from the airport to your hotel is simple, affordable, and a great way to experience Portland right away. The MAX Light Rail Red Line will take you directly from PDX into the heart of downtown—just steps away from the Hilton Portland Downtown (921 SW Sixth Avenue, Portland, OR 97204).
Step 1: Find the Airport MAX Station
Head to the MAX Light Rail station located on the lower level of the airport terminal, near the baggage claim and ticket lobby areas.
Step 2: Board the MAX Red Line
Catch the MAX Red Line heading west toward downtown Portland. Trains run frequently—typically every 15 minutes during the day, with slightly longer waits in early morning and late evening hours.
Step 3: Ride to the Nearest Station
Remain on the train and get off at Pioneer Square North or Library/SW 9th Ave station—both are excellent drop-off points close to the hotel.
